Why our client names are not listed here

Here at Ethix IT Security, if we are not secure, we are nothing. There are a few reasons we don’t provide the names of our clients on our website.

    To protect their privacy. Many websites put customer lists on their website to promote their brand. Often this is done without permission. We don’t think that is fair.
  2. 2
    To prevent a social engineering attack. By publishing our client list we are giving information out that could be used in social engineering tactics. For example, someone could contact a client and claim to be from Ethix IT.

    To prevent other targeted attacks. By a quick look at our website an attacker would know what security tools we use to protect our clients, and then they could customize an attack based on those tools. Think that’s crazy? That’s exactly what cybercriminals want you to think, but the fact is they are pushing the boundaries everyday and doing things that most think is not worth the trouble. At Ethix IT we stay ahead of the curve of IT security and are always one-step ahead of them.

    Stop ‘bragging rights’ attacks. Most attacks these days are for money, not for bragging rights. But there are still those out there that would love to see our good reputation tarnished by attacking a client of ours. We are not willing to take the risk, however slim, just so we can use our clients names for our own marketing efforts.
